Besides shopping with intent and living more simply, I’m becoming more aware of the brands I use for everything: what impact they have on other people and the environment, and what kind of impact they have on me personally in terms of health and habits. I hope the brands you find here will help you as you become more mindful of slow fashion, food waste, and the toxicity of products we use every day.

I am not employed or paid by these companies to share them here. If you choose to use the links below to purchase items from their sites, I may receive “credit” to spend on their site. (Some, not all, links would include this.) You are welcome to use other links on your own time! These links will benefit both you and me. However, my goal is not to make money for me to spend on these sites. My goal is to share wonderful companies, selling fantastic products and making positive changes, that I want to support. Happy mindfulness!

Root Pretty

I found Root Pretty in my search for affordable, organic, high-quality make-up. I have been impressed with this company since day one, from customer service to fast shipping. Pearl Powder Mineral Foundation is incredible, and you can order three samples sizes to figure out the right color for your skin. Just pay shipping, and what you spend on shipping gets taken off your order when you buy a full-sized foundation!

This company makes affordable, organic cotton, simple wear-everyday pieces. Every item is super comfortable and well made, as well as fair trade certified! I truthfully live in their leggings, but their crew neck boyfriend sweatshirt and boxy top are also amazing.

100% Pure Cosmetics

While I love Root Pretty for the majority of my make-up needs, I prefer 100% Pure for mascara and eyeliner (I’m a pencil, not liquid, eyeliner fan). The mascara I use, Fruit Pigmented® Ultra Lengthening Mascara, is made with cocoa. It smells like chocolate and makes me SO happy. The eyeliner is the same way but just not as strong. Try them out!

Tempdrop: Cycle Tracking

Learning all about my cycle, fertility signs, and how it impacts the rest of my body has been such a blessing. But waking up early to take my temperature at the same time every morning was a pain. Enter Tempdrop. You wear it on your arm near your armpit and it tracks your BBT the entire time you sleep, then syncs with an app that tracks your cycle for you. I won’t get into too much detail here but feel free to reach out with questions if you have any!
